Stunt Trading Cards
« on: February 16, 2023, 07:56:05 PM »
Norm Faith sent this to me the other day. Apparently it appeared on facebook and he was kind enough to share it.
I was totally unaware that anything like this even existed. I know that "back in the day" the Japanese were super enthusiastic about everything stunt but I certainly never saw one of these, my plane or of anyone else's.
Have any of you folks seen one of these things before?
I see people my age out there climbing mountains and zip lining and here I am feeling good about myself because I got my leg through my underwear without losing my balance

I saw this on FB too. Looks like they have gumball machines that dispenses CL cards.
Very cool.

That's amazing! That's for real from back in the day, or just made up now to look "retro"?  And where do I get a Les McDonald rookie card?

I think Brett may be correct about the age of this thing.
Upon closer examination it appears that someone stuck a picture on a real trading card, possibly from a World Champion Tiddlywinks player.

Think my mom threw out all of my cards after I moved off to college.  Shame, because I remember a rookie GMA card in there.

Ohh I'd trade my 78 signed Hunt card for a New in box Buck 95 original.

I attended Stuntcon a few years in Indiana back then most of the old legends were doing meet and greets with occasional signing of these cards.

This better not be some elaborate AFD joke! I’ll be disappointed.

Apologize for what?  It was unclear whether they were "period" or new, but either way, I can't see any problem with it.

Thank you. I was relieved that there seemed to be no problem.
This was taken by me in Shanghai in 1994.
It was my first time watching the World Championship and I was very impressed. It's already been 30 years.
