Title: Stunt Saber

I was given a Stunt Saber to resurrect.  Any thoughts or Ideas?  When were these kits produced and were the airplanes anything more than a oddity?

Yep that's the plane. I'm not sure I'll be able to match the finish of Randys but it did come with a health OS 35 so it should fly better than a Fox 35 engined version.

The Jetco Sabre Stunt hit the market around 1960, so it's clearly Classic, Nostalgia, and Modern-legal.  I built one of the first-generation kits, also my first full body stunter.

The kit was an easy build, compared to other full body stunters.  Unfortunately, the wing is a bit small and thin compared to the competition.  I built mine with the usual Fox 35 Stunt.

If I was to do it again, I'd use an OS 25 FS or FX and build really light.

It wasn't designed for the current pattern but it is capable of performing the whole sequence.
One was flown to a reasonably high placing at VSC in the early nineties by Mark Hughes. It was a kit, painted and detailed with a healthy stock Fox 35. He flew it well and it was just a little fast and flew the maneuvers a little more open than optimal.
Should be fun.
