Title: Stunt planes for the following engines.
Post by: frank mccune on December 19, 2022, 12:42:55 PM
       Hello All:

My Winter Project is to build stunt plane for each of the following engines.  They are: NV .061, MVVS 1.5 cc Diesel, MVVS 2.0 Diesel and a MVVS 2.5cc Diesel.

        Any suggestions?

        Tia,

         Frank McCune

Well, I’m working on a Pinto for the Norvel .061. It’s an RSM kit. After that (next Winter) it’ll be a Challenger for the 2.5 cc mills I’ve on hand.

Tercel, perhaps scaled up to ~300sq in.

Could always scale any number of modern designs down to about 300sq in - Imitation, Trivial Pursuit, ThunderGazer, MoBest, Mustunt....any one of these would be great in a smaller package.

I've even designed a few that would fit the bill quite nicely.

They simplify them these days ,

The advantage in this case , if the grounds soft , if it gets in the way of the aeroplane , you can probly dig it out in one piece .

The FROG Talisman is one of my favourite Flite Streak-ish sport/stunt models for a good 1.5cc diesel (AM15 in my case).  Desirable modifications are: larger bellcrank, a simple monoleg U/C and looped tailskid for lone-hand flying, and possibly a thicker wing section (e.g. NACA 0018) - all easy enough to do.
