he'll get pictures, when I start constructing it, which will more than likely be this winter, since I've got 2 under construction, but I'm going to enjoy this build, and I promise I'll post pics  H^^

Your welcome.  I don't mean to have anybody relive their youth, but everybody remisinces about stuff these days, even me when I think how far I've come in 4 years in this sport.

I think this is a great sport, and enjoy every minute of building and flying I get, also meeting more guys then I ever would've met over these last 4 years if I hadn't been flying CL.

Way to go Matt! Looks like you might need to beef up your CA supply!  n~

I think so too! I now have 7 airplanes, either under construction or ready to fly, or haven't arrived yet (the P-40).  We are running low on CA anyway.  H^^

Congradulations on the win, Matt.  Also what out for breathing problems with the CA.  After several years even with ventilation I started having problems.  Now use it very sparingly.  Keep having fun,  DOC Holliday

PS:Do you know What?  If you do will you please introduce us.  jeh

If I stand too close to where I'm gluing something together with CA, the fumes burn my eyes and need a 5 minute break.

Can't never have enough planes I say

Matt, you sound like a very enthusiastic young man, but, I am afraid you are going to have burn out.  Maybe when school starts it will help delay my fears.  Anyway keep having fun,  DOC Holliday

School for me starts on August 25th, two days after our next meet, so it really is just around the corner.  I don't play a sport in the fall, but in winter, I play basketball, and in the spring, I play baseball.  Also I'm taking advanced classes this year, like last year, so I don't get involved as much, but on vacations, almost every day, I'm over at my grandparents building away.

I have a ball with this sport, and love every minute I'm flying, building (except carving those wheelpants on my cobra, spent a good three nights on one, and it still isn't done), or even posting and reading on the forum.

Oh yeah, DOC, I'm also a columnist for Stunt News, I took over for Grace Paris for the Next Generation column.

I hope I don't get burned out either and I don't want to get burned out.

As an ex CA Junkie... take it from me.. learn to use Titebond... I remember one weekend about 25 yrs ago I ran out of CA right in the middle of wanting to keep going on a RC plane.. I drove all over town looking for more.. all the Hobby Shops were closed... I think I suffered temporary insanity from huffing the fumes !!! ~^ ~^ ~^

These days if I plan my building right... I can lay up a wing or fuse with yellow or white glue and am just as happy with the results.. plus I am not chewing the CA off my fingers until the skin comes off too !! y1 y1..

Don't take me wrong.. I love CA glue.. but the other glues out there have a place to. The Gorillia Glue is cool stuff.. though care needs to be taken so it doesn't go hard in the bottle like CA does.. nothing worst than picking up a bottle of CA only to find it rock hard.. my Titebond never does that..

DOC he won't burn out... he'll probably get a girlfriend first...  ;D ;D.. Then you have to do what I did.. I put "Jim and Carol" with a little arrow on a Red and Yellow Ringmaster and then taught her how to launch...

If and when get a girlfriend, I'd want her to know that flying these planes are not TOYS.  It annoys me to no end when my friends say that, except I now have a couple that have actually seen me fly realize that these planes we're flying are indeed not toys.

Jim, here's something I do if I get CA on my finger, take a piece of sandpaper (150 or 220 etc.) and sand the CA off my finger, and I still have skin left.  Gluing my fingers together, is another thing...

Matt- how are you going to manage your time to fit in another build? School starts in a few more weeks. Looking forward to seeing you in Lee next weekend.

I'll find time, when school starts, building goes to the weekends.  School for me starts 2 days after the Lee meet.  Will see you in Lee next weekend H^^

Edit: For any of you guys that go to Brodak, I may bring it if school doesn't get in the way, and if it's done.  The completed plane of course

Congrats,

If your fingers get stuck together, just take that 120 sandpaper, bend it in half with a tight crease and sand down the space between the fingers.  Sometimes it works and sometimes ya got ta get debonder and work it loose.
