Michael flew in his second stunt contest and rounded out the second round flight with his first consecutive loops. We flew at the Charles Mackey contest at Whittier Narrows in Southern California.
He told me he didn't want me to go in the circle to help, then flew one loop per lap for three laps, then he did the three consecutives. His loops were compact, and his last one would surely have been the envy of an R/C 3D flyer, but the ARF Primary Force hung out there.
His biggest boost was to raise his score 30 points from first to second round.

HOly Cow, Awesome Pix, Don. Obviously a young Chris with Dad Jerry and his Smoothie. I gotta ask, is that Bill Rutherford wiping down his orange airplane behind Jerry in the one pic? That nose just about has to be Bill.

That is our Sweet William Billy Ruttin'Rutherford...found on road dead! (He and I had so much fun with those Stingin'Rays at the 67 Nats at the Lost Allleeemostest'.. First time that I met Pat Collier and Bill.
Ted...just to refresh my demented brain cells....
I think I have some slides that I took of you and Tim Dunlop while we practicing but I can't find your plane. Was it a "Lavender Purpleeee' stunter??? Was it you that joined me in razzin and jazzin Gene Shaffer's "funny Floor tile finished stunter. (I don't think Gene thought it was very funny when I mentioned to him that my laundry room at my old apartment in Seattle had a floor that exactly matched that model. VD~ LL~

HI Chris,
Those of us Dads who have/have had sons who join us in this hobby are double blessed! Not only do we get to enjoy ourselves, but we also get to enjoy it with our sons!
Tell your son how proud we, and you, are and to continue on the path. He's hooked. ;D

Since I have my oldest son to fly with (and really thankful for that!), I am looking forward to HIS kids flying. Both have shown much interest in Daddy's, and "Ta Ta's", planes.
At Huntersville I had the great pleasure to talk with Big Art on a few occasions over the weekend. A recurring theme in our discussion was the fact that "Where else" do you have such great people, as in CLPA, for your kids to grow up and be around! I couldn't agree with Mr. Adamisin more............ ;D

Hey Dave....I posted those photos...just to show the "waaaaaaaaayback roots and history how the McMillin passion for modelin' came from...n'allthatjazz.? Yes...I congratulate Chris and his son and the stunters that we all fly in on. H^^

Thanks guys,
Michael gets a big kick out of this stuff. He thinks loops are fun.
Next month...inverted flight!

It still amazes me just how much you and your son look alike....chip off the old McMillin block for sure! H^^
I found some more slides but MY CHEAPEEEEE' EPSON CX-7800 STYLIST HAS PICKED UP THE WEIRDEST LOOKING STRIPE ERROR THINGEE....
see what I mean...it is going to cost me about as much to fix it as it costs in the first place...at least that is what the broken English-India speaking Epson support team trouble shooter tried to tell me.
(take a look at the expression on Roger Barrett's face..when his Playboy let go!!!
Looks like an after math of a "pillow-fight, huh? Yer' daddy looks like he is totally grossed out with that pile of balsa shaving that once was one of the best flying Playboy that I have ever seen. LL~

Well, Chris, you know you have created a monster, don't you? ;->
Just a matter of time before he starts beating Dad at the contests!
