STUNT-A-THON 2019
« on: June 11, 2019, 09:28:18 AM »
After some issues with the new improved on line sanctioning system the AMA finally approved our sanction for STUNT-A-THON.  Attached is the flyer, please note the schedule that I intend to stick by, within reason.  Profile will start at 2:00PM Saturday to allow anyone that doesn't fly in the morning to attend.  On Sunday we will fly each event in order with one following the other, no set times.  If you are here, you get to fly.  There will be a lunch break.  Navy Carrier will be run as Mike Potter sees fit :)  I can't speak to their schedule, they run things a little differently.

Great news, we are back at Auburn Municipal Airport, AKA Dick Scobbee Field.  Entry to the flying is a little different than before.  I'll post here when we find out what the procedure will be.  Security is the issue, we will work it out and I'm sure it will be fine.

Speaking of food, dinner will be at the Haverly house on Saturday evening.  It is a club sponsored event including refreshments, nonalcoholic.  If you want some adult beverages you are welcome to bring them.
The long range weather forecast looks good!  Having said that it goes on rain or shine, lightning is a no no!

Please, let's show up and make this a viable contest like it once was!

I'll be there.  I might have a Classic plane, but I said that for the Tune Up and the Regionals, and didn't come through then.

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

Entrance to the airport will be at the south end through the large gate next to the hotel.  There is also a man gate with a cypher lock.  It will be hard to miss because of the humans, us, that will be playing with toy airplanes.

Flying is allowed Friday afternoon after field set up.
