Leonard reported one day a few months ago that there was some sort of bot attack or infection that would affect operations for a time while he tried to straighten things out. He made one or two more posts about it, then it went silent. It would be a crying shame if it's archives are indeed lost. Stuka Stunt was around for quite a while before Stunthanger got started, and there was much information presented by many people that are no longer of this earth. It had been really quiet for  a good amount of time but I still checked in on it every day and posted about as much as I do here. Like I said, there were members there that are not around any longer, and some have been gone for a long time, and some that did not participate here, so a wealth of information has been lost. I don't know if anyone has heard from Leonard, or if he is still working on the issue, but this far down the line, it doesn't seem promising.

Well, so far the forum part will not come up.  Seems every thing else is there to look at and read. D>K

Doc,

What URL did you use? The one I have that went to the forum direct still has an error.

When I first came back to the hobby, I mined the SSW archives for many, many hours to learn what I'd missed over forty years. Then I exchanged much information there. I believe that those archives are the best ever, a fantastic repository of CL wisdom. I'm glad I printed out so many pages from it back then. Nothing lasts forever with our storage methods, but losing that archive now is/would be a terrible loss...IMO.

I sent Leonard an email using the email address from the website but never received an answer.  Has anyone tried to contact Matt?

Seeing as you have been booted from most of them, you need all the help that you can get! As regarding that quote you posted, just reflect on that a while yourself!

   Nobody.

Seeing as how you had gotten kicked off SSW, quite deservedly, because of the same crap you routinely pull here, I can see how you might think that. Also, now, you can claim your usual false or nonsensical stuff, and no one can point to an SSW post where we already told you about the thing you just "invented".

It takes a special kind of person to rejoice in the destruction of 20-ish years of information, but I would have expected no more from you.  It is a shame that this includes the post where I became the charter member of your "list", something I am rather proud of.

By the way, the phrase is "less is more", attributed to but probably not coined by, Robert Browning. A variant is "perfection is acheived not when there is nothing left to add, but nothing left to take away" (Antoine de Saint-Exupery, killed on a reconnaissance mission in a P-38 in 1944). That's the principle that Leonard used to remove you from SSW, and the point was well-demonstrated.

It is sad to see this "model airplane" forum used to make personal attacks on members.  I believe this forum should be open to anyone interested in C/L building and flying.  A member need not be a "top 10", or even a casual flyer (or maybe one just flight per year) to participate.  Every member has something useful to contribute.

Those who post personal attacks on others simply demonstrate their inability to see past their own concept of self-importance.

Floyd,

I'm not going to say you "nailed it" but you're close. Been going on for 9 or so years. Remember when it was ongoing with many every day, almost 60 guys were trolling me. Hard to believe from my fellow modelers and fellow Americans. Or are they? What are they? They sure do muddy up modeler's Threads.

You're correct, but it's not only self-importance, somewhat, it's actually much deeper than the simple "self-importance" we see on display because they lie. Hard to believe I have 60 people on a list I view as having absolutely no importance at all. They've proved it.

Floyd, I sometimes respond to trolling. Here's how I respond: And the best is yet to come. ;D

Hey Chuck, how do you know he wasn't talking about you????? You were dissing Leonard and his website, so I stood up to you for that. Absolutely no good reason to make the comment you did and the only poor reason you made it is that you are pissed because you got yourself banned from the site and for good reasons. Get over yourself until you can put one of your precious hanger queens down with the rest at the NATS for judging and then back it up with some flights.

Remember, you were the one that muddied up this thread with your comment.

Floyd, I met Chucky Cheese at a small contest here in Florida. I didn't know him and he didn't know me. I mentioned Stunt Hanger and right a way he started Bad Mouthing some people on Stunt Hanger that I hold in High Regard and I told him so .I soon realized there was no talking to or with him so I moved on before I punched his lights out,and I am not a fighter .anything u say go's right over his head so as long as he is on here the only thing to do is ignore him .I don't think I am on his top 60 list .maybe this will help H^^
P/S it was a stunt contest and he did not fly, did i .get it right J.M

Floyd,
clstunt.com does work but not the forum. Has anyone heard from Len or Matt? I liked having that archive to see different way modelers approach some of the same issues. Hope they find a way to bring it back.

Bob,

That's not how the story goes.

It goes like this.

We talked briefly and your name came up. I mentioned you were one of my worst trolls and you were on a list of about 60 others.

You were sitting down and I was standing up. I know you remember exactly what I said because you followed back with silence.

I told you I should kick your ass all over the field. I also said, "Don't let this small frame fool you, I'm quite capable." I should have kicked your ass.

Yes you have an issue with me like many others and all you can do is lie. In fact you all back up each other's lies.

It was once said no one liked me over at RC Universe that I behave the same way. Totally false, and this guy hasn't been on the Forum in ages.

Your behavior is pathetic and uncalled for. On top of being my troll AND being proud of it, what in God's name allows you to hate a fellow modeler so much, you'll tell lies.

Tell me and the entire Forum, they do read this crap, exactly what I did to be hated so much? Here's a hint. See photo.

Oh, Like it matters to sane people, the reason I didn't fly was because I was there for PC work and photo work for the plaques given to the winners. I put in my time.

BTW. There wasn't one model airplane built or finished there to my caliber.

Bob, I have to add this because "this" model started it all. The "last" thing these so called "Experts" needed was a stranger, not associated with the CL click, that had my background.

Were you there when these guys immediately pooh-poohed this model? Interesting they bashed this model yet they claim everyone was using the same system for years.

The Avenger.

My scratch built R/C Pattern Ship. Powered by a ST with a tuned pipe.

All automotive base colors, with Don's brushing Lacquers for the flag graphics and 23K hand applied real gold leaf lettering, hand outlined in black. Finished with a Dupont automotive clear.

Sickening isn't it?
