Title: Streak Master Flight report !!!
Post by: Paul Taylor on December 24, 2011, 04:16:45 PM
We had a heat wave today. Got up to 50 degrees and lite wind. Propbuster aka Ryan  and his GF are in town for Christmas. So we threw the Flight Streaks and our Buster Trainer in the truck and met one of my flying buddies Arlan at the soccer fields.

Ryan had a little trouble getting a good engine run. After a plug change we notice the problem. Lose back plate. No worries we the new Streak Master. I took it out for its maiden flight. Boy was it tight on the lines. First flight was just lazy eights and a few insides and outsides. Did a prop change and Ryan took it up next. Doing insides, and a bunch of outsides, then one of the best landings I have ever seen a Flite Streak do. He said after Tom Morris's E-Caviler that this plane was his second favorite profile plane.
Second flight for me I did a bunch of overhead eights, hour glass and a clover. Then my last flight I got the whole pattern. This plane flys better then it ever did. Makes me want to cut another Sky Ray fuse for the other one. <=

We also got Ryan Girl Friend Sarah up on the Buster Trainer. She was flying solo until she did a touch and go with out landing gear. A little CA and it will live to fly another day. I think we can make a pilot out of her. y1

Thanks guys!
Hey Jeff Tyler lives about 2hrs away. I have the engine sitting on my bench. I was hoping Tyler was going to come up over Christmas  break.
I really like this SkyRay / Flite Streak combo.

I'm glad to hear you like it.  :)  I know I like mine better than either the stock Flite Streak or stock Skyray 35.   I've built two Skyrays with modifications to make it like the hybrid Flite Streak/Skyray, but the hybrid still flies best.

It was about 80 in Miami. I'm waiting for it to cool off a little to put in some serious flight time.

Hey Paul, sounds like y'all had a great time. Outstanding flight report. It's still raining here, may get out the R/C Boat and chase the ducks off the pond! Merry Christmas H^^

I am glad it works for you and it looks great.   Also glad to hear Ryan has a girl friend that likes airplanes.   I came out of the shop to get coffee several times and the old restroon break.  Thought about throwing a plane in the Ford and head for the school ground, but my excuse was I didn't think the batteries were up to it.  MERRY CHRISTMAS H^^
