Many of us knew Jim Morway. Jim flew combat and stunt for many years. Me was from the Detriot area and for the last many years lived in Holly Michigan. Jim passed away a couple of months ago, we all misss him, he was a good guy.
On September 29th 2013 there will be a fly in memorial for him. It will be at the Stanley Broome Park in Flint Michigan (this is the city CL field and has been for over 40 years) The Flint Balsa Termites (AMA charttered club) is hosting the event.We will start flying about 10am and be there all day. There will be food and water there (the club will supply meat, buns, trimmings and a grill), and what ever you guys bring (chips, salads, cookies, dounuts, etc). Lunch will start about 1pm.
Bring anything that you can donate to the memorbilia of Jim, at 4pm we will give these thing out to everyone there buy pulling numbers from the attendace list.
Donations to Kris (Jims' wife) will be taken and I will be sure she gets them and a plaque with the names of everyone there. She will not be attending because she is moving to Florida soon but I will be able to get everything to her.
Show up if you can. There will be lots of fun and tales of yesteryear.
