Strange Model
« on: December 29, 2009, 09:33:20 AM »
I remember years ago seeing a profile that had landing gear, canopy and rudder on both top and bottom.  The plane could be landed inverted and not look any different than if landed right side up...but which was right side up? ???  Anyone else ever see it?

Maybe an airplane called "Ramrod" (no, not the famous free flight!) in a Flying Models in the 50's?

There used to be a section in MAN it was called "hints or kinks" or something likme that. I remember one of the drawings showing such a plane being an aid to learing to fly inverted.  OR, maybe my impending senility just lost the impending portion of that statement.

I do recall seeing it!  I believe it was a construction article in one of the magazines.  That's about as far as my memory will go on the subject!  Don't recall the magazine or the model name, but I am guessing mid to late '70s.
