Title: Strange control handels
Post by: tgsnj on December 05, 2006, 11:47:53 PM
With all the fancy control handles available today it is hard to decide which one is best suited for my type of flying. At present I still use a ezjust and it seems fine for just a weekend flyer.I doubt I will ever make it to the big leagues. I remember as a kid I had to make a handle from a broom stick by drilling holes thru it for the lines then putting safety pins on the eyelets to keep them from pulling thru the stick. Very crude but it worked. I was wondering if anyone else has ever used crude handles like I had to.

I think Dick Byron sold his handle business to Mike Stott if I remember right.  To some they may be a little expensive, but, they are worth every penny when it will tame down an Old Timer that I could hardly get to fly level.  I also think Brodak has a lower priced version of it.  Also check out Control Line Central.  DOC Holliday

PS: Forgot to mention Carl Shoupe and the Fancher Hard point handles.

I read somewhere where an ergonomic study was done on control handles. What they came up with as an ideal closely matched the old Ez-Just. Handles are a very personal thing and one size doesn't fit all.
