Corrected "Formula S" plans pt. 2
« on: April 17, 2007, 03:01:13 PM »
Hi All,

I just got off the phone with Bob Hunt.  He received the go ahead from Hal Carstens at Flying Models to copy, and make available, the Formula S plans that have the corrections made by Jim Kostecky.  The plans are signed by the late Mr. Kostecky as to being authentic.  Bob will be copying some sets tomorrow, Wednesday April 18.

Bob will be offering these at $9.95 plus shipping.  If your are interested in these, contact Bob at Robin's View Productions which is listed in the Vendors Corner.

Great news!  Thanks to Hal Carstens, and Bobby, for making these plans of a GREAT Classic design available!

I would REALLY like to see the "image" Jim used on the outboard wing of his original!  It would be sharp to use the original paint scheme and include that "cartoon".  I have never seen it up close................  I really like the red/black/white layout.

Go to Schaefer's Hobby and Crafts in south St.Louis county and you can see the original. It's hanging on the wall behind the counter, and the top of the wing is still in pretty good shape. It hung on the wall at the original location on the corner of Virginia and Merimac streets in south St.Louis ever since I was a kid. I even think there were pictures taken of it when they took it down for the move, and it may have been Bob Storick that arranged that. Might have been posted on SSW.
