Hey, Walter sold some kits to an enthusiastic group of Stiletto fans here.  How about some feed back?  Did you get them?  Surely, someone must have an opinion.S?P

And I promise not to call you Shirley again. D>K

Yes, I know.  I had help from a kind gentleman who perhaps feared a hissy-fit.  I do thank him for his assistance.

My Stiletto arrived promptly, as did my RSM and Jetco Sharks.  Each has been given a fair place in my build queue.

Paul with a Stiletto?  This is going to be cool to see.  The Shark should be a good sight as well.  You might need to move up to a full size G-van with your enlarging fleet to make the trip to Brodaks.  Perhaps a trailer behind the L-van will be the ticket for the big events.  Please keep us posted on this one Paul.

Total thread crapping here, but.........

The correct line is:   "Surely you can't be serious?"

"I am serious, and don't call me Shirley."

Sorry Matt. Couldn't leave it alone. I tried.

getting back on topic. If you want pictures then go to Walts site and click on the Stilletto icon and you should see the whole assembly of the model. As to building mine, are you  crazy. The box and plans are signed and the kit is numbered. I'm going to live another 50 years and cash in on this sucker.

Several months ago a "non modeling" friend saw one of Walters proclamations about the Stiletto kit and asked me------
"So how much is your autograph actually worth?"
I replied----"I suppose it depends on the amount of the check I'm writing".
Would someone please build and fly one of these kits.
You can save the box and plans (if it's that important) but I'm dying to hear some feed back on my old design.
Hope you guys are enjoying "The Stiletto Chronicles" in Stunt News.

Heck, I'd be happy if someone would say "Great kit, the wood is perfect, all the parts are precision cut, the plans are top notch...I guess I won't know until mine arrives. #^

It looks like the Stiletto is the coveted Holy Grail of stunt. S?P

Les,

Yes, we certainly are enjoying "The Stiletto Chronicles".   It's a great story, and I can't wait until the next installment.

Thanks for taking the time to write up your history in the stunt world.  Your accomplishments are pretty amazing.

And I saw one of your "Stilettos" up close at a Nats, many years ago.....the workmanship was absolutely superb. You are definitely "da Man".

Cheers.

All four of mine are just common groundcars.  They are able to travel short distances on the surface of the planet at no more than 200 KPH.  I'm not wealthy enough for an ornithopter or  a frigate.

If they are still in boxes, I am sure that they will.  It is after you unpack and assemble them that space becomes an issue.

Paul,
Not sure where the "unpark" came from, but I was trying to point out that the space an airplane occupies in kit form is generally much less than after you pull all the pieces out and glue them together in general accordance with the plan's directions.  Are you going to have this one (Stiletto) ready for the 2010 flying season?

of course there are times, that after construction and assembly, then flying,, that the plane will take up LESS space than it did even in the box! HB~>

No chance of the Stiletto getting assembled in 2010.  I just bought it because Umland's offerings are one-time take-it-or-leave-it deal.   It won't work it's way up the the active part of my build agenda for a few years.

If my existing planes get repaired, refurbished and rehabilitated before spring, the Jetco Shark might get assembled.  The Shark has 650 square inches, only 10 less than the Stiletto.  The Shark will be a learing experience for me in the 45 class.  After testing the  range on the Jetco Shark, I'll fire for effect with the Stiletto or the RSM Shark.

A few years ago, I felt that I was aging fast and started preparing for the stunt care home.  But early retirement made aging level off and I determined that I might have a few years of combat, racing, and carrier life left in me, so the stunt kits are mothballed until the time comes.

I just started mine. The wing's underway; once things start shaping up, I'll post some pictures.

Myself, I think the kit's too good not to build.   ;D

I posted some of my initial thoughts of the kit here:

http://stunthanger.com/smf/index.php?topic=16552.msg151726#msg151726

But the four-word review of it goes something like this: It's made of awesome.

Does that mean you have an aircar, too?

I can vouch for Walt's kits. They are a thing of beauty.
