I would like to offer Steve Buso's Jaguar as a full kit this summer. This is a survey to see if we have enough people to justify going into production for this model. It will be laser cut from contest balsa. There will not be a short kit available, only full kits.
Please let me know on here or by e mail if you would be interested in purchasing a kit.

Steve's planes mostly (all?) used foam wings....will yours be a foamy? The Jaguar is a greeat flier.

What kind of price range are we talking?
Randy it will sell for around $160.00 plus shipping. Could go a few dollars either way. It is hard to nail down a price at this point because I do not have figures back yet for CAD work and Laser cutting. You know how that goes... y1

Thanks guys. Glad everyone likes the model. When I spoke to Steve back a few weeks ago, he was just super nice and he helped me a lot with some questions I had. And I think you are right, his designs are under represented. I personally think the Jaguar is a beautiful ship and hopefully this will give all of you who would like to own one the opportunity to do so.

I had not thought of this being an electric but you bring up a good point. If someone wanted to convert it, I see no reason why they could not.

Mike - you should also take note that there are NO specific electric kits on the market - and this would be a niche that you could fill - there are a LOT of us flying electric - and converting IC kits to ECL is not as much fun as you would imagine!!! so how bout it - get a designer on board and get some eleectric kits out there!!!!

I have video somewhere,(gotta remember where I put these things) of Windy,Jimmy Casales, and Steve throwing it down pretty hard at an old East Coast contest. He was mixing it up with a pretty rough crowd-Steve was doing alright!!

My Ringmaster 150E and Ringmaster Jr. kits are designed, and contain the parts, to be built either as a fuel airplane or an electric airplane with a minimum of modification required by the builder. y1 The airplane can be designed to be built either way or designed as an electric powered airplane. If it is designed and includes parts to build it either way the only disadvantage is that it increases the kit cost. If it was designed to be sold as an electric kit, or as a fuel kit, the extra parts would not be required in all the kits.

I just got off the phone with Eric Rule and he has kits now that can be built either as glow or electric (as Pat was saying) with just the addition of a few plywood parts. So I am happy to let you know that we will offer the Jaguar kit as glow or electric and what you need for the conversion will be included in the kit at no extra cost. Thank you Wynn and Crist for bringing this up. Also there will be a TURN KEY electric system available from me in case you need one. Here is what I mean by TURN KEY and how is works.
You push the red button and the prop turns twice and stops.
You walk to the center of the circle (if you are not already there) and pick up your handle and check everything out. Up and Down
After the 30 seconds the engine will soft start for 10 seconds and wind up to 9200 RPM at which point there is take off.
You will have a 6 minute and 10 second flight at which point the motor will beep three times and 10 seconds later the motor quits and you land.
Every thing you need for this system is included and pre programed so you do not have to be a programmer to use the system.
The entire electrical system including prop can be purchased separately for $399.00. The battery can be charged at home or with your car battery at the field. With two spare batteries you can fly all day.
Now you can have the best of both worlds in one box.
