I build a LOT(see my facebook page) but this is my first CL in many, many years.  Rather than just BS about AHC and AMA, I felt it would be good to contribute something actually substantial. 
First coat of clear dope should go on tonight.
You'll be the test pilot!

Is it clear, or colored? I picture something like rubber cement...I do t know why.
Will Duco do pottery too?

Yeah, I'm the world's fastest builder!  That and five fifty will get me a venti frappucino at Starbucks!
Not the BEST builder, but I have my moments...
Duco is clear.
Yes, it will fix that pottery vase you broke, and your wife will never know.
First dope coats laid on, just doing a little filling and sanding, then more clear doping.

I am sure you are very familiar with Cox engines, but I thought I would mention a few things anyway.

The Pee Wee is a good engine, but....they are super finicky! Everything relating to the fuel tank must be air tight. To include: Venturi o-ring, backplate, backplate screws, crankcase to tank gasket, tank to backplate seal and NV . If anyone one of these is allowed to draw air it will run like garbage. It generally takes me a couple hours to set a pee wee up properly before use. Even out of the box they fail the tank pressure test.

Anyway, just thought I would mention it as evenly matched steady runs are a good thing on a twin setup, plus it looks like they are cowled in pretty well and might be a pain to remove.

Doped silver now over four coats of clear, silver will be a basecoat for yellow.  Or maybe it will be silver.  Dunno.
I have rebuild kits, new heads, and spring starters on the way for the pee wees.  Thought about aux tanks for better duration but they do not work well on pee wees.  Should have done two tee dees instead, with seperate tanks.  I just decided to replace the whole control system...I did the stock plywood bellcrank, balsa pushrod, and pins for the ends of the rods...it works, but...nah.  Right now I can swap it out, but not after the windows are in.
Oh...I made the fronts of the cowls removable with two teeny screws, getting the engines in and out will now be no problem.  Like you...I know how these wee pee wees are...

           You got me digging through my old photos. 1960, twin Pee Wees, silkspan with brushed on dope. Have no recollection of flying it, probably because I couldn't get the engines running. I do remember GIVING IT AWAY!

Curtis, how are you handling painting plastics? I did dope over plastic on a couple of DPC Clones, and an original Scientific P-40 engine cowl. There is no guarantee that all were of the same styrene composition, but they glued just fine with liquid seam-following plastic cement.
The dope stayed on...for a little while. All plastic was sanded with 400 grit set or dry (new, not contaminated), and washed in hot soapy water.
I'm tempted to try sandable lacqquer, top coated with dope.

Lacquer is dope.
I let some dope puddle inside the nacelles and it crazed the bottoms a bit. I know better if Han that. Not sure ortied about it flaking off the ioutsides...doubt this will get flown more than once or twice...

That is looking good and should be an attention getter while it is flying.  I know the Black Widow got me a first place at a contest and got a lot of attention even though all I did was take off, level flight and landing. H^^
