Stephens Akro plans?

Does anyone know of control line plans for the Stephens Akro other than the Sig Akromaster?

Check with Tom Dixon, he had one some years ago that was published and you could go with Lew's Akromaster.

   The SIG Akromaster is a semi scale model of the Spinks Akromaster. Lew Mcfarland's Akromaster was also a model of the Spinks design and is a nice airplane. The Stevens Akro is a different airplane, and I believe was the basis for Leo Laudenslager's  Lazer. Tom Dixon's model of the Stevens Akro was published in the last issue of American Aircraft Modeler, early 1975, I believe. I'll go check that out and report back later.

I just found in my plans pile a Spinks Akromaster, designed by Ray Borden, no date on the plans.  Looks like about 49" span,
for .35 size engines.  No idea where it came from, perhaps an old MAN plan?  Nice looking stunter!

My Chips Akro was based on the Stephens Akro.  You mentioned before that you thought the Chips Akro would make a good C/L stunt plane.  Maybe we should look into that!

The Chips Akro is an R/C plane designed by Brad Shepherd and was produced in kit form by Linck Models.  The Chips Akro had a 56 or 57 inch wing span.  I powered mine with a Saito 56.  The Super Chips was an enlarged version with a 66 inch wing span and powered by an OS 91 Surpass.  The Super Chips was featured as a construction article in the May (?) 1999 issue of Flying Models magazine.

Bill Hummel and I talked about converting the smaller Chips Akro to a control line stunter.  I'd have to redesign the wing with flaps and a thicker airfoil.
