Really nice Terry. One of my favorite planes. I have watched Don Hutchinson fly his, and also Joe Gilbert fly Don's. It flew very well, and did a creditable job of flying the pattern.

Thanks Guys! Vincent,....The plans are from Flying Models...Don Hutchinson plans as mentioned by Jim..(I think they were $12.00) The plane will be for full stunt..It has a OS 46 LA with a special designed Tank floor that is adjustable from the outside.....( A nylon wing bolt on the bottom of the fus) fully adjustable flap linkage through the rear cockpit.. I omitted the "Slide in" tank/ engine motor mount drawn and went for a simpler system.. If you are intrested in the tank set up..let me know and I will find some pictures..The plane weighs 43 ounces..has a Dubro dummy radial motor kit to dress it up...

At that weight with the 46, that thing should honk. The dummy engine really sets it off. I'm starting to drool.

Outstanding, Terry! Waiting to hear the flight reports, I feel they will be positive!

Terry!
That is totally incredibly COOL!
At 43oz that should be fantastic flier. How many square inch is it?

Thanks guys! David, I will need to check the plans and let ya know...I dont remember the Square inches....Hope we get to fly soon....I'm still on my winter project right now though..(P-47 RC) .See ya at the field..

I think it is around 540 sq ins wing area. At that weight with a 46 in the front it should fly really good. Note, the elevator/flap ratio should be about 2 to 1 as the flaps are quite large and the tail not so much so. If you set it up close to 1 to 1, the pitching force from the flaps is almost eqiual to that from the elevators and after you fly it you will not like me! Propoerly trimmed, it can do a great pattern. Keep the nose down and airspeed up after the engine quits and then flair for touchdown, this thing has a bit of drag!.
