Stayin' Alive
« on: November 28, 2007, 11:13:58 PM »
Just checking in after about a month.  As a lot of you know I had a very serious cancer tumor. and have been ill for quite some time.  I checked into the hospital on the 22nd of October and was operated on on the 24th.  This was the first of a two part procedure to rearrange my "innards".  Unfortunately I had a heart attack on the opperating table.  It was not entirely unexpected as I had a stress test earlier and it indicated that It might happen.  They had a cardiologist on hand and they managed to pull me through.  In spite of the heart attack the operation was successful, all 9+ hours of it.  I don't remember much of what happened for a few days afterwards.

On the 31st they operated again to hook everything back up.  It was a much shorter procedure and they say I tolerated it well.  They let me out two days later and I have been recovering at home where I'm going through my second childhood.  I'm learning to walk without falling and working very hard on toilet training again. y1

I've just about caught up on the main forum and will look at the other forums as I can.  It has been just in the last several days that I have been able to sit in front of the computer relatively dope free and able to concentrate.  Thanks to all of you that sent encouragement to me.  I will try to spend more time here as I continue to heal and if I don't reply right away to any messages, I will as I get a chance.

Thanks again for all your prayers and good wishes.

Tom Perry

Tom,
It's good to hear you're doing well!  I wasn't aware of your situation, but will definitely add you to the Fellowship Of Christian Modelers' prayer chain if you wish - you are most assuredly on mine.

Blessings,

Thanks Will,

All prayers are welcome and I thank you.

I would remind even the non believers, consider prayers like chicken soup, they can't hurt you.  :)
