Title: Stay Tuned
Post by: RC Storick on July 13, 2007, 06:50:34 PM
While the nats has kinda ticked me off, I needed to come to get my creative juices flowing again. I have purchased all the parts for next years airplane. I bought controls, nose ring, wheels, spinner, prop,CF strip for the stab, the new Randy's Smith pipe for the PA .75,tank,dope and other components. This list is too long to list. I have everything to build the next plane. When I arrive home Sunday I will spend the day getting the shop ready for the next build.

The plan-form for the next plane will be a more conventional type plane.. One that I don't have so much time into. The problem I ran into at the NATS (besides wind is) The pucker factor. I had too much time into the P-47 to chance crashing it. So hight pull outs. The pucker factor along with the fact that I have no time on it didn't help. The game plan for next year has changed. Less building -more flying.

The pictures will be posted as I build. It will be on the same idea as my jet. Different appearance but the numbers will remain the same.

After he finishes his nap.  ;)
Glad to hear that you "cheered up" a little Sparky. I took my "pride and joy" all the way up, flew in unfavorable wind, all the way back (1500 miles round trip) without a scratch. Put her on the shop bench, turned to get a paper towel and some how she rolled of of the bench. Three holes in the right wing and a crushed left wing tip.  '' I'm glad I got to meet you and see your craftsmanship first hand. For those who haven't...pictures don't reflect the true quality of your planes. Next year.
Norm
BTW...Now that I'm back, I would like to get a T-shirt. Details please.

Robert,

Sparky, glad to hear you have changed your mind about NATS competition.  You build beautiful planes and need a coach.  Thomas Case says they will be building the Brazilian Tucano for next year.  He also said they will be planning on going to Bodaks.  Now go beat them at their own game in stunt.  Have fun,  DOC Holliday

Sparky, glad to hear you have changed your mind about NATS competition.

I will be going to Brodaks instead of the NATS.
