How about the manifolds off of this engine?  They're a classic, at least if you're a Chevy aficionado.

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

Doug,

I make my own exhausts, but for Warbirds, not stunt planes. Here's photos of some I made.

Simple aluminum tubing. Some, as you can see, bent. Glued in place then framed with balsa. I make the back cut in the table saw, but it could be done by hand.

Glued in place then painted. Takes a bit of time but worth it. There might be progression how-to photos in the Mig-3 build.

Brodak sells some already made.

Made these from K&S Alumn. tube , cut in twelve , half the cuts at 45 degrees ish . Aryldited in a pin jig. Pins forced with pliers into a plank at measured intervals to space even .

The inner face can be sanded ( rubbing the manifold along 80 wt. on the bench . A edge at the outer edge and a quater & or three eights strip & pencil line , so its finished parrallel ,
or otherwise . The alloys very malable , so can pull in front face curved later , with a drill bit part in it to hold it round where needed , or you could C the rear like a Battle of Britian
Merlin ( Spit & Hurrie ) or P-40 etc . Maybe grind a stell die / former to fit in , for consistancy . Would have to avoid knocking them around or GRASPING the plane by your mitt , there.

whoops .

Also done them from 3/8 brass tube , likewise , but soldered .
If a slot is alowed for in the cowl sides they can be used as cowl air outlets ,
or even ducted for the exhaust outlets.
Thats a bit of a waste unless youve got a smokey exhaust engine . R E preferably .

Theres some RESIN ones for 1:5 scale Warbirds on the RC Group Misc. Classifieds , too .

Whittle ONE pattern , and do silicon moulds like Spakys Resin Spinners ( video ) and youd have a set in next to no time

Doug, please say that you really did want to know about fake exhaust stacks for that V-12 look, and that you're not looking for exhaust adapters or tongue muffers or some such.

Because I thought you were looking for the latter and only posted my link to yank your chain, but then everyone else dived onto the bandwagon.

Shakleton Griffon one , has five bolt flange .  %^@
