The Jester definitely has a presence - just sitting on the ramp. The paint theme from Bruce's plane is still in there, but you put your own twist on it. Beautiful work.

Richard,

Great Job!  Looks awesome!! you captured the essence of the scheme and totally made it your own!  I really like the Harley Quinn detail on the V fin.  Pretty cool pilot too, Harley looks perfect in her own stunter.  I knew you would do the design justice and I really wanted the first one to be done by a great builder.  You certainly didn't disappoint!  Thank you.

On a personal note, it was fun watching the build come together.  It's a humbling and inspiring moment to watch the shapes and lines of your design come together in someone else's hands.  Jester is a big project.  Then once it's in white/substrate there's the Paint!!!  Notice on this plane the colours invert side to side, what's pink on the left is black on the right.  Even the diamonds on the fuse flip position.  Harley Quinn's costume is the same way.  The scheme as Richard did it requires LOTS of masking, I know I did something similar on the first one...  with colours touching each other it makes it difficult to change masks while painting. It requires and complete remask and it must be perfect to make it look good.  Having Richard put together such a great effort on this plane is very flattering to me.

Thanks Richard for your dedication and hard work.  I hope you enjoy your Jester as much as I have enjoyed mine.  Let me know how the first flights go.

Bruce

Rich is one of several spectacular West Coast stunt builders who don't get east of the Rockies much.  Y'all should come to the NW Regionals or Golden State champs to see his stuff.  Here are some other examples.  Hey, who's that in the third picture with the Diva?

I guess that's two of us, this plane was designed in 2003.  The only other plane I've ever heard of with this name was "Jesster" for some persons grandson....Jess

Hank Bourgeois used the names Joker and Jester on stunt ships he flew in the late 1940's. I believe he also could fly an F4U Corsair!
