Title: ST needle

I am looking for an ST type needle/NVA for the Fox .36.  This is the slant head, plain bearing version.
The stock NVA works great.  I am looking for something a bit longer so I can easily adjust when it is mounted on the Viking.
I know.  I could get a piece of tubing and slap it on.

Did you check with Randy Smith, David?  I've purchased several from him.

The PA NVA Randy sells is available with extended needle stems. Don't know of any for the ST.

  There are many ST needle vales and look a likes out there, and be advised they are not all the same. All OEM ST needle valve assemblies are not the same. You need to know what length you need. The eBay seller shttrman ( aka Bob Brooks) has St type NVAs made for him by Enya and has them in three lengths depending on how wide your venturi is.  I would order with this in mind. The Randy Smith NVA is a great part but uses a nylon seal to seal up the threads on the needle, and does not work like a collet lime the others do. If you tighten the nut too much it wears out the seal. If you need extra length on the needle, just solder on a length of brass tubing but don't get carried away. I have seen some guys add a spring/lnob assembly from a OS needle to an ST needle also.

the standard S/T Spray bars can draw air through the slots under the collet. Randy's with the nylon in the collet don't leak, the nylon needs to be replaced once in a while but worth the extra effort RAD

   The big thing is the length of the spray bar and where the hole ends up in the venturi. If the spray bar is a little long, you can add a fiber washer or two under the nipple side to line it up on center, and it the hole is just a fuzz off center that won't hurt anything, but you don't want to shim it 1/4" or anything like that or have the hole right next to the venturi wall.. The hole should be in the center of the venturi bore.
