Is there a circle in the Dallas area?
« on: January 18, 2007, 07:33:58 PM »
I will be in Dallas the first weekend in Febuary. I might have to kill some time over the weekend.
Is there a circle close by so I can see how it is done in Texas?

Paul, here is a link to their web site.  There are some good folks to contact listed on the site.   http://www.dmaa-1902.org  Also directions to the flying field.

Alot depends on the Dallas weather.  If it is above 60 degrees and little wind there should be someone there.  As stated contact some of the modelers down there.  Als if you have transportation you need to get to Mike's Hobby
Shop in Carrolton on I-35E just north of big D.  DOC Holliday

Paul,
We have one of the most active groups in the country with membership UP to almost 100. We fly at Hobby Park at the intersection of 635, Garland Rd, and North West Hwy. You can see the site from 635 east bound, and it is next to Fry's and Sams.

Some of our club also fly in the Ft Worth area.

I would love to meet you. I work days on weekends though.

Our next club meeting is Thurs Feb 1, 2007 at Mike Hobby shop.

Please contact me at 972-736-3780, blueskymodels@earthlink.net ...or Don Hutchinson.

There is a link to our DMAA web site on my site www.blueskymodels.net. Details on members is restricted to member.

Tom,
Sounds like I got lucky and will land in C/L stunt central. Right now I am due in Friday afternoon. I do not think I can get there any sooner.
I do look forward to meeting you and others if we can get hooked up. I will be free Friday night, and weekend. I would like to find some hobby shops while I am there. Maybe pickup a few odds and ends.

I will shoot you an email when I get my schedule set in stone.

Thanks!
Paul
