Springfield Stunt Clinic
« on: June 02, 2009, 07:14:12 PM »
First I want to thank Allen Brickhaus for conducting the clinic.  Watching Allen teach you can see he is in his element.  I learned many new things (and several he's told me over and over).  Next, thank you to everyone who attended, I think Tom Farmer won the longest drive contest.  From the St. Louis area Bob Storick and Brian Harris, Doc Holiday came from the K.C. area, Terry Bolin, Ken Nash, and Jack Dodd from the Joplin and Neosho area, and Gerald Chaney and myself from the Springfield area.  I do hope everyone enjoyed themselves and felt it was worthwhile.  Also, this was the first time I have ever hosted anything like this so I do appreciate everyone bearing with me with the learning process.  One thing that I learned is that anyone who grips about how an event is ran should have to do a couple themselves, a lot of work you don't know goes on.  It would have been nice if we could have had less wind (like Friday and Sunday), but it was dry and warm.  I am going to try and get an article together for Stunt News and want to make sure I have everone's name who was there, let me know if I missed anyone.

Thanks again,

James

Had a lot of fun Jim.  Should have flown the DoodleBug what with the problems of the shaft extension.  Hopefully now fixed.  By the way put two "L"'s in my last name.  Next will be a stunt meet of some kind.  We used to have monthly contests for F2C back in the early days.  Amazing how hard we fought for the little plastic cups or even the sheet of paper that was a certificate.  You have it we will be there.

By the way, the mud on the circle reminds me of the circle at Gage Park once in a while.   Having fun,  DOC HoLLiday

Sorry about the misspelling (that's never been my strength). ~>
