The projected wind kept everyone away Saturday. Allen and I went out and were able to get about 6 flights on my new Tempest. The plane seems to have some potential and I like the twin rudder look, first time I've had a plane with them.
Big thanks to Allen for making the drive. We also spent Friday evening monocoting my Legacy wing.

Zuriel,
Thanks. The finish on this plane was a nightmare (not the slickest plane up close). I tried Sparky's method and the local paint shop sold me what they said was lacquer primer in rattle can (turned out it wasn't). The first paint job pealed when I applied the lettering. So it's been stripped as well as possible a couple of times. I was debating about how to proceed and stripped it one last time and put a few lite coats of clear dope, then the white and vinyl lettering and cleared with urethane. So with all that the weight went up and then (Brett will be proud of me here) Allen was helping me set the c.g. and we has to add about 4 ounces to the nose (final weight is about 71-72 ounces).
