Some of you probably know...
« on: July 07, 2007, 09:24:41 PM »
This past Christmas in a moment of reminiscence, I suppose, my brother bought me a rubber powered Cessna 180.  I began building it with the attitude of "I want this one to really fly."  I sanded a lot of the wood away, left off the landing gear and some other parts, and used only clear nitrate dope for paint in order to minimize weight.  A few days ago it went on its maiden flight. I was amazed.  Flew way, way better than I had hoped. Now I fear that I may getting hooked on rubber powered free flight modeling.

So my question is do any of you know of any helpful forums dedicated to that subject?  Hopefully something similar to what this one is for CL.

I highly recommend this article on the Small Flying Arts web page suggested in post number two of this thread. clic on the article called "A Faster Method For Stick Fuselages" It will only take a few minutes to read and with the great pictures  it is explained in great detail. The next project you try, no matter what it may be, will benefit!

You must have caused a stampede. I tried to go there but it said "This site as exceeded the data transfer limit"

yeah, his site does not have a lot of space - but if you give it a couple of minutes - it comes right again....
