I am just looking for a little information. Has the Spectre ever been offered in kit form? How old is the design? The plans say it is a Dave Platt design. Looks perfect for the Veco .19 or equivalent,
Thank you
Mike

A laser cut kit of the Spectre is currently made by the Vintage Model Company
Amerang hold the copyright and license it to the Vintage Model Company to manufacture.
You can buy one here;

I had a short kit off eBay (probably the same as Doc’s). I ended up replacing a lot of it and it effectively turned into a scratch build. With a PAW 19 diesel in it, it’s a really nice-flying model (one of my favourites), and I’m sure something like a Veco 19 would also be fine.

I thank everyone for their input. Was just wondering what the availability was since I have not heard to much about it. I appreciate the help.

Well here in the states the smaller stunt planes are not too popular for competition. The British had a penchant for the smaller planes with 2.5cc engines. I have several 25 size planes that I haven't flown in competition because they don't have the wow factor of a big 60 size plane. Dave seen my Cupim25 go through a pattern and thought it one of my better planes. D>K
