First tuned pipe pattern.
« on: May 31, 2020, 09:40:32 PM »
So today I had the fun opportunity to make two flights on Gordan Delaney's Sultan (one of Norm Whittle's old planes.)  First time flying a pattern on a piped ship.  It has a bar stock Ro-Jett 65 and a big Brian Eather pipe.  All I can say is wow!  I understand why the tuned pipe engine ships were/are so prevalent and are still competitive.  It was so interesting to literally feel it regulating the power and deliver such smooth, yet instant response.

I flew Roger Kramar's electric full body Pathfinder as well.  5s2700, E-Flite Power 32.  Fun ride, smooth, constant power as one would expect.
Laser-cut, "Ted Fancher Precision-Pro" Hard Point Handle Kits are available again.  PM for info.
