I deleted a few post this morning but can't delete any accounts.
Thanks for those who reported it and let us know if you see any more.

Thanks
Paul

What was weird about the Russian babe posts was that Bobsyouruncle and I both posted to the thread, and the box showed that he had made only one post, as a new member. Then later in the day I saw it again at the top of the heap,, again with showing only one post, and the previous one was gone, and that was the one you deleted I guess. There is the other one about decibel meters also that bears looking into.
   Type at you later,

Yeah, this morning I reported the Russian Babe post too. I used to moderate a large forum that routinely got carpet bombed by those assholes.

Our video hangout got spammed about 5 times in a few minutes last Monday night. I got pretty quick on the eject button.

Hope my Russian babe shows up soon.

I suspect Sparky has some "forum tuning" to do.

I have run forums in the past and found that unless membership registration is tied down pretty tightly, they become a honey-pot for the spam vermin. They look around for forum registrations that are open, they register, they post their garbage and you likely never see them again. I am sure the spam industry circulates a list of open sites like this one and the spam cockroaches start creeping into our world.

We have seen a few here in the past few days, and until the registration function is hardened, we will see more in the future.

And what is bad is when they are caught, they just slap their hands and tell them not to do it again.  I think they should chop off their hands as well as confiscate their stuff. VD~

I have seen this so many times and for me, as a user, It is a non event...I do not open the thread...they just look like spam to me and typical

I would seriously recommend, if you do open the thread, Never ever click on any HTML link inside the post
Trying to see a photo of some big boobed Russian wife is NOT worth the risk

It is a problem for Robert (and by extension all of us) because, unchecked, it bloats out the available storage space with crap bits n bytes

Like all other things Robert has to do--- to deal with the growing pains of the new software...eventually he will get it sorted and back to where we were just a while back with very few problems

What Robert needs (besides infinite extra TIME) is a very closely trusted VOLUNTEER FRIEND who would have Super User admin rights and the authority to deal with the forum software support engineers to divide the time to deal with each of these admin problems

Anyway, a big THANK YOU to Robert, and all the forum moderators...this place, even with the glitches, is running pretty damned good
