Man, if you could find a good source for it or make it you could probably sell every sheet you could lay your hands on! You can go to these party stores, and the greeting card department of the big box stores and find all kinds of pattern domestic tissue, but I have never seen a checker pattern of any kind. Bob Nelson from SIG Mfg. used to bring supplies and materials for making Delta Dart airplanes in production line fashion to the KidVenture venue at Oshkosh, and he would always have some of this wild pattern tissue for these airplanes. They were pretty attractive and they would raffle them off each afternoon. I was in the habit of always checking the selection in any store I went into but have gotten lazy about that lately. These were random printed patterns and I'm guessing that a good checkered pattern would have to almost be a registered pattern to come out correct and look right. That might be pretty costly and why we don't see it done any more.
Type at you later,

Another source, in whatever colour you want:
https://hummingbirdmodelproducts.com/printed-tissue-for-covering/checkered-tissue
These are printed with an inkjet, using ink that won't run from water or dope.
Look on the site, he shows lots of examples of printed tissue.

Many years ago, Rusty Brown brought a Taurus to the Vintage Stunt Championships. The wing was covered in Checkerboard yellow silk.
I asked him where he found checkerboard silk, and he said he made it! He had a square stamp made, streched yellow silk out, and stamped the black checkers on the silk! It looked factory.
I really miss Rusty Brown and his West Highland Terrier, Sugar Babe.
