Title: Source for Kit Boxes
Post by: Steve Kocher on May 23, 2008, 08:24:48 PM
I will be moving in a few weeks.  I have a couple of scratch built airplanes in progress that I need boxes for.  One of the airplanes is an Impact with foam wings and the wing halves have already been joined.  So, I will need a rather large box like the ones used for ARFs.  Does anyone have any idea where these can be purchased?  Any help will be appreciated.

Steve.

Go to a bike shop and check the dumpster. I get one box that we pack each year for our trip up north for the Cheeze head flying. Holds Flite Streak, SkyRay35, Buster trainer, and a Ron B. Spitfire 1/2a.

You also may want to check in with the local music stores.  The boxes that guitars come in are a pain for them to dispose of and are quite large and handy.

Steve something else might be at an appliance store, or a luggage shop.
Good luck and let us know when you "light" or "land"...
