We have some T-6's in Tulsa area that do touch and go's at TUL. Usually on Sun. morn when things are slow.

The two AT-6s belong to a local fellow who owns land here at my airpark.
He has a third one that has just been restored to better-than-new. I have not seen it yet.

If you've ever stood next to the runway when one is departing, you will learn new meaning of the word "LOUD".
I'm convinced that the engine converts gasoline into noise.

I have not ridden in them - YET!

Apparently we have a few Alfisti in the group. Don't see '67 GTVs very often either. In fact, I see more AT-6s around here.

Robert - sadly, I am the only Alfisto here in Manning. As far as I know, there are only four Italian cars in the city. I believe my GTV is the only 67 in South Carolina.
ALFA Romeo happens to be my all time favorite car.

I'd love to get checked out in the T-6 but I'm afraid it might be a bit pricey. But, it could happen. The owner is a CFI.

My planes are hangered in my back yard - I live in an airpark.

You're a lucky guy! I wish I had a house on an airport with all that aviation noise and activity. I miss it!

I was involved in GA for almost 40 years, both recreational and as a professional and I've owned a few airplanes over the years.

I've had plenty of opportunities to sit and fly in many old Military aircraft, passed on the flights each and every time. So, I'm alive to tell about it.

What do you have for aircraft? Interesting aircraft?

Interesting aircraft? Well, I owned and restored a 1938 Focke-Wulf 44J biplane. I flew it for many years, and in air shows. I taught myself acrobatics in it. A picture is shown at;

Bob,

You have some nice aircraft there. Good for you. Kudos!

The Warrior is a fine aircraft and are still bringing really good money. I had a Cherokee 180, really nice airplane.

Don't know much about your 120. Isn't that the aircraft that was offered with metal wings, or did that happen later?

I actually learned on a Luscombe and have plenty of tail dragger time.

Do you have any float plane or seaplane time?

Hey Bob,
That wonderful noise you're hearing is the tips of those big fat prop blades getting close to supersonic.I worked for a cropduster that used surplus T-6 engines,wheels,ect. on his Thrush.I could hear that prop when he was 5 miles out and knew it was time to stop goofing off
