Thanks Mike, very cool. We were able to see the Nobler in Charlies workshop at the Paducah contest before the restoration. Jim and Charlie were the right guys for the job and did an awesome job.

Brings back memories of talking to Bob at the 74 NATS after his wins. A true gentleman. D>K

I was in Jim’s shop when Charlie brought the plane down for some of the rework. I took some photos and also some photos at Charlie’s house. Some of the photos were in Wills video.

THANKS for posting. This is an iconic piece of our stunt history, Charley & Jim knocked it out of the park on the restoration. Fun seeing the pictures of all the other legends too.
Paul
Thanks for the before pix too. Showed just how far they had to go to with the restoration.

I am originally from Mayfield, Kentucky, about 20 miles south of Paducah where Charlie Reeves lives. Years ago, when I still did some traveling, I used to go home to visit family and friends and I would drive over to Paducah to see and fly with Charlie and Allen Brickhaus. They were two of the nicest guys I ever knew.

You are very welcome Dennis. I thought there might be some newer folks on the forum that did not know the story behind this model and what Charlie and Jim had done to keep it together.
