Title: Some useful tools
Post by: Robert Zambelli on December 17, 2011, 05:46:48 PM
I got a really neat catalog from Lee Valley tools.
www.leevalley.com or 800-871-8158.

Here are a couple of items that could come in handy.

Also, lots more interesting stuff in the catalog

Keith Varley got me a tour of the Vancouver BC store, not far from Keith's house. They have some very neat stuff, a lot imported from various parts of the world. Tho tempted, I managed to escape without buying anything, but it was a very, very close call.  We had dinner next door, at the "White Spot". I got the idea that Maureen Varley doesn't like "Lee Valley Tool" very much.  LL~ Steve

I have one of those wire benders from way back before the wife hooked me into married life.   Still have it in the shop somewhere and I just seen it.  Maybe I will run across it again as I look for some other things  I have misplaced. n~

Lee Valley Tools is my favorite store. There are several across Canada. None in U.S.A. unfortunately , but they sell on line. Not only for tools but that is where I get my sandpaper, steel wool, Hot Stuff, epoxy, scalpel blades ,etc etc. I even wear a Lee Valley cap, and they have a wonderful assortment of garden tool and also unique stuff in their Christmas catalogue.(Canadian spelling). They stand behind their stuff, and treat you well at all times. Only in Canada you say?  Yuk Yuk (That's me chuckling.)

Hi Doc,

I have one, also.  I know I have had it more than 30 years, probably over 40!  I got it at a local store where all the $1.00-$5.00 tools are put in a big counter.  Remember those? ;D

I love the Lee Valley catalogs. The tools are something else. Sometimes I think Model Aviation is just a valid excuse to use tools like these.
