The 2011 King Orange International will be held on January 14th-16th in St. Augustine at the new X47 Flyers flying site, known as the "Field of Dreams". Friday the 14th is practice with the contest events on Sat. and Sun.
As some of you already know, the new site is located directly behind the Stagecoach RV Park on County Road 208 which is just off I95. You have to go through the RV park to access the flying site.
If you are planning on attending the KOI in an RV and want to stay at the Stagecoach RV Park, it is highly recommended that you go ahead and make your reservations very soon. The RV parks around here get very busy that time of the year, especially Stagecoach.
Here is the contact info for Stagecoach:
2711 County Road 208
St, Augustine, FL
32092
904 824-2319

I suggest that you let them know that you are attending the KOI and ask for a site near the bath house. That would put you very near the entrance to the flying field (a short walk).
Stagecoach does not allow tent camping.
Also, we cannot make a reservation for you. You will need to call.
The complete KOI flyer will be ready soon and will be posted at that time. There are abundant motels and restaurants very nearby.

I have always wanted to attend this event. What stunt events will you be offering on Saturday and then on Sunday?

Thanks, Brother Bill! Been a few years since we attended the KOI. It has been fun everytime we have attended!
Jerry, I'll let Bill answer, but the normal procedure is PAMPA classes on Sunday and the rest on Saturday.

Jerry:
Just like Bill L. said. Saturday will be Old Time, Basic, Profile and Nostalgia 30. Sunday will be Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Expert and the fly-off for the perpetual trophy.

Thanks, Bill. Is there any chance the club would consider running Nos. 30 and Classic simultaneously? Break it down on the score board after it's all over. I know this was a theme being bantered about when NOS 30 was initially discussed.
Thanks!

I will bring your question up at the next meeting.

We only had one N-30 entry last KOI that was Allen Buck if we have enough confirmed entrants we could do that.
I guess we will have to have A survey how many contestants are going to fly N-30 at the 2011 KOI

Thanks, Tom. Since this is still fairly *new* (Nos. 30) then it *might take a while for things to come around. Guys have had some time now to build a new planes if they didn't have a N-30 already.
Probably doesn't affect me either way. Just would have to make a decision on which plane I would like to fly at the time. ;D
