Title: Solvent for Sig Stik-it
Post by: Andrew Borgogna on November 21, 2007, 09:28:52 AM
I am appling some Coverlite covering to my Lil' Zilch and have been using Sig Stik-it.  So far nothing I have used will clean the brush, I have tried Lacquer thinner and denatured alcohol neither of which does anything.  Does anybody know of a solvent that cuts this stuff?

I just use throw away acid brushes. Never occurred to me to try to clean that stuff off a brush.

Have you read the can to see if it says what to clean/thin with? Never used Stick-It but believe I remember the Balsa-Rite can saying use MEK.

When all else fails read the directions. The can says use Sig Butyrate Dope Thinner. The print is kind of small. I guess I'll start using that instead of Acetone.

I used the acetone and it worked fine.  I appreciate you help.
