Any body got any suggestions for bending the tubbing with out putting a kink in it? I cant seem to get it right!
-
Either get a good tubing bender or run the tubing thru a torch until red hot. Then let it cool. Try Tower Hobbies, Brodak or SIG. Have fun, DOC Holliday

Thread a length of weed eater line through the tube before bending.

I've been using weed eater line for years. And I heat the tubing cherry red and let it cool before I bend it.
There is *soft* brass tubing. I have been using the copper for a long time.

I sometimes fill the tubing with fine sand, plug the ends then make the bend. The tube will need to be flushed out before use. A kind of variation on the weed eater string idea. I will try that next time.
-
I have never tried it because I use annealed copper for any line that I have to bend, but I have heard you can fill the annealed tube with lead, make the bend(s) and then melt the lead out. The string trimmer idea sounds good. Always something new.

If they are brass or copper proof to them over a flame, then bend them on a block of wood of shape

Best tubing bender I've used is the Harry Higley. Works great on any 1/8 tubing 90 deg bends no kinks.

If like me you hope your tank will last a long time and possibly several models, use copper tube. Eventually even if it was softened when you made the tank, the brass tube will work or age harden and eventually split.
