Title: So I built a Twister

Just finished this Twister which is my 1st plane with flaps.   I did some of the mods in the articles by Ted Fancher (lengthened fuselage, put cap strips on ribs, altered the vertical stab shape and size, made the elevator one piece instead of split with a torque wire).   I've got an OS FP 40 on it with an 11X4 APC propeller.   I made it green and white with some decals to honor the 2015 MLS champion Portland Timbers soccer team.

If all goes well I will fly it tomorrow (June 29th) at the Fireballs Delta Park site (Portland Oregon).

Looks good, Pat.
I just bought a twister kit for a rc slope racing buddy's birthday, and he's almost got it half built....
When I told him I'd cover it for him, out came the glue, LOL.

Pat, will you be at the fun-fly on the 3rd?  I haven't checked with the Mistress of Scheduling yet, but I suspect that we'll be out.

Very workmanlike job, Pat.  Really like the way you worked in the one piece elevator...I mean, why not if you're extending the tail, do something different.

And I flew it several times today.  Kept adding tail weight.   It sure pulls a LOT more than my Ringmaster.

What size is the tank?  I'm thinking you want to start with at least 4 ounces for the full pattern, based on my experiences with my planes here.

That is a 4.5 oz tank.  When I fill it with 4oz, it runs just shy of 7 minutes.
