The only way I ever buy Dubro hardware is if I am in a big hurry.  My LHS has a good supply and fills my emergency needs.  Otherwise Dubro is cost prohibitive.   n1

RTS give a great range and have Starter kits.

I've never had a quality issue with Microfasteners. Been using them since they opened many years ago. I use the alloy SHCS and washers on high performance engines, control systems, tank mounts, landing gear and everything else never had a complaint.

RTL, Microfasteners, McMaster and MSC Direct.  It depends on my mood, what I'm ordering, and whether I'm also ordering machine tools.

Note that McMaster tends to high quality, high availability, and high price.  If you're paid by the hour, ordering from them will save money.  Otherwise -- while their stuff is top notch, there's other folks that have top-notch stuff for less.

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.
