Slowly Progressing
« on: May 06, 2020, 03:26:23 PM »
I am slowly progressing with my flying. Just starting to do loops with my electric profile plane.

Enjoy getting into the video chat sessions.

Looks fun.  A few questions:  What is the overall weight?  What motor/battery/prop?  Line length?
Laser-cut, "Ted Fancher Precision-Pro" Hard Point Handle Kits are available again.  PM for info.

Yeah, looks like you are getting the idea. You are finding out that you can relax on the up control a bit as you get to the top of the loop in order to make it more round. You HAVE to fly the airplane all the way around. Rounds, triangles, squares the same way. You have the whole sky to use, so use it! So many, me included when I started, just crank in UP for all it's worth and they don't realize they are stalling the airplane. Now you need to learn to use your peripheral vision to pick up the ground as you come around the back side of the loop. Go up to the "At The Handle" section  and find the thread on where to look when you fly, and read that. You have been flying enough now to see how things relate.
You scare the bajeezeus out of me climbing over that green box on take off! Is there no other spot on that field so that you can avoid a possible collision? Taking off from the pavement and landing in grass is fine, but having to climb over obstacles  to get airborne is frightening!
Type at you later and have fun!

Good to see you here, Bill!  I recently spotted a simple model of yours - probably RP - and thought it would be great for beginning builders, but the link associated with it no longer works.  Do you have your plans & notes somewhere accessible?  Thanks!

Hi Bill

Progress always good; I like the pilot's-view video.  See you Friday night?
