Me also, but no problem on other sites. This sounds familiar, but I can't remember what it is a symptom of.
Type at you later,

Maybe it is all of the anti-Barbie comments and we are being shadow banned. LL~
My first wife some 55 years ago was named Barbara. Think we didn't get labeled.

ps - slow all day here

Not only slow, but when I tried to login, it said the site wasn't responding fast enough, and cancelled my attempt. The second try worked. ~~> Steve
PS: I'm trying to figure out why "bullet points" haven't been banned yet. A certain segment seems to think that sort of lingo is dangerous or violent.

The accounting software I designed runs remote on a "thin client" which is much like what we use to connect to a web site. Starting with a Microsoft update about a month ago we started experiencing similar issues on customers running Windows 10. Windows 11 had no issues. Perhaps they are up to their old tricks again.

It's still slow but I figure too many people trying to do posts or get on line. What I don't understand is when it says page not available or doesn't exist. Could be the idiots out there playing their silly games trying to mess things up for us. I also do a clear history about once a week. D>K

Same lag on both my Win 10 and Win 11 machines, BTW.

When I have seen it slow in the past, I looked at numbers of people on the forum. For a couple of days, there have been about twice as many prople logged on, almost all guests. In addition, they are sitting at the opening, not seemingly looking at threads. Then they time off in about 2 hours I believe. Could the extra logging on and off activity slow us down? Could it be bots logging on and off, since they don't seem to be looking at anything?
Just asking because I don't know enough about it to know if it really matters.

Not a Windows issue, same with MacOS Ventura and Safari.

The page is extremely slow in loading and most of the time it times out. Something has changed but not sure what.

I agree, it is not a Windows issue but it seems to have gone away. I hope Sparky let's us in on what happened.
Ken
Logins are about half of yesterday. Probably a denial of service bot attack.

I think I finally figured it out this AM, it is the sun spots. Can't blame it on the politicians as they don't have that much smarts except how to live off people. S?P

As of roughly 11AM CST, I'm still experiencing the lag. BTW, there are now over 1800 'guests' online.

Back OK as of 9:57 MDT 17 Aug.
Well, maybe not perfect, but better than yesterday. It let me post this, but still slow to open posts.
-
It's not OK over here - it works, but very slooooooowly.
-
It appears the problem has been fixed. #^ #^ #^
-
It's back but only on page changes inside the site. 171 on line is not very many.

No better from my location. Slow beyond belief. Do I owe Sparky money? Probably! H^^ Steve
