That isn't as easy as it sounded at first, not necessarily in any certain order and haven't flown all of these, but have seen them fly:

1.  Tempest (2 by Randy).
2.  Buccaneer by (Allen B).
3.  Shark 45
4.  Cardinal (Windy).
5.  Stiletto
6.  Geo XL

Now, this is going to be fun, but, i'd like to split my picks up to 3 profiles, and 3 full bodied stunters.

For profiles, I'd have to have a Ringmaster, a really light weight one. Dick Mathis's excellent design, "Excalibur", a triple threat for sure, being able to compete in profile, classic, and PAMPA. Lastly, it would be a Pathfinder, either the MK2, or the relativly unknown MK3.

Full bodied ships, Wow, there're so many great ones out there.

Dick Williams "Electra" this design might have won the worlds back in 64, if it hadn't "dissapeared while being transported to the contest.

I'm a total fan of Gierkes "All American Eagle". What a sweet flying design.

OK, though I'm a fan of Randy Smiths Vector 40,  with all the work with Gordan delaney on his last Pathfinder, I just have the feeling, that this will become one of the greats as time goes on.

So many other great and deserving designs. Probably why I have so many kits, and plans. If I get to build 10% I'll always have a plane.

My six in no particular order.

   JD Falcon
   Legacy
   Electra
   Chipmunk
   Trivial Pursuit
   Charisma

Boy, it's tough to pick just six!

How could I limit myself to just six.  I want one of each and not being greedy, a building big enough to hold them.  Have fun,  DOC Holliday

3. An SV Katana
4 Geo Bolt (Razorback)
5 Ares
6......................................................

(way too many to pick the 6th one! But I would probably have a Classic legal Rabe Mustang [#3??] **) **)  )

A Great! question ;really makes you think!
Now how about this .Which  would you least want in your collection;assuming you had to fly them, as kitted.
No rebuilds to your specs.
My first choice would be the Super Ringmaster.I never saw one built that the front end didn,t fly appart shortly after..
Could have been improper building, but thats my choice
I was going to name 6 but decided to limit it to one. This may be harder than six keepers! S?P

Easy, Since it has to be as kitted, the least desirable would be, Sterlings version of Ed Southwicks Skylark.

Not because the design was bad, it was excellent, but, because the way the design was modified to make it fit into the box. They also had a problem with the rib lofting, that made it necessary to re-do a few of the ribs.

Kits often ended up heavy, and with a poorly countored wing.

These "favorites" (or "favourites" as our Brit/Aussie/Kiwi cousins misspell it  VD~) threads are always a lot of fun.
OK, 6 divided by 4 events = 1.5 planes per event.

1.  Box Car Chief (48"), OTS
2.  Humongous, OTS (Classic and PA in a pinch)
3.  Mustunt II, Classic (Kyle's new kit)
4.  Green Box Nobler, (or '52, can't decide)
5.  Skywriter, PA
6.  Lil' Jumping Bean
...just kidding
6.  my own thing, to be called either Hoopla or Gadzooks or Heathen or Circuitous Route or Miss Anthrope or Draculette, or Squish Pile, or not, P-40, PA

For petes sake, Randy. I think you need to check out out a few other planes. The Impact is an awsome design I'll agree. But 5 out of 6? Come on man.

This is a list from a different perspective. I am a sport flier, not necessarily by choice. I am the guy that when I do a wingover people say I wonder what he is trying to do. I really enjoy seeing the pattern well flown, but I......... well anyway here is the list.

1. Ringmaster
2. Flite Streak
3. Bi Slob
4. Tomahawk
5. Lil Jumpin Bean
6. Original Ballerina (not to fly, just to look at)

Clint,

Well, if I have to fly them...

Weirdly, I've never built an Impact (sacrilege in the Northwest). But I've flown a few.

Paul,

Beautiful picture of the Skywriter!  Thanks.  What is the Superstar?  I haven't heard of that one.

The Superstar was (and still is) an FAI combat model designed by Richard Wilkins of England.

It totally changed F2d and how it was flown in Europe.  The Superstar was the first big-time "foamie" and was called the "disposible toy" by it's designer.  Meaning: if it costs an airplane to advance a round, pay it.

Prior to the Superstar. the dominant model was the Warlord, a 250 square inch nylon-covered woody that would last a lifetime.  A good Superstar, with about 410 squares and less weight could do a 4-leaf clover inside a Warlord's loop.

Atta boy, Randy! I knew you had it in you. ;D

However, Wynn seems to suffer the same view with the Vector 40 ::)
