Hi Guys,
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who offered me advice for my silkspan problems.
I'll admit to sanding over the problems I had originally (stab, elevator, flaps and rudder) and doing the fuselage and wings from scratch (after reading your advice)
Here's the finished machine. The photos make the wings look white, whereas in fact they are natural finish silkspan.
Not all the wing graphics are visible in the shots, but they were all made by printing onto 000 grade silkspan using a laser jet printer and doping the printed patches onto the wing. I have to say it worked a treat and I will definitely be doing it again. I tried black to start with as I wasn't sure how the inkjet ink would react to the dope, but my next offerings will be more colourful.
Unflown as yet. 25LA up front for now. The original design hails from the Canary Islands, but I'll claim this version as unique. Builtup wing, warren truss fuselage - as per Mo'Best, builtup rudder.
I've no idea of the all up weight yet, but as ever the nose is too long.
Keep up the great work
