Tinting canopy
« on: May 22, 2006, 10:17:11 AM »
I tried what you said on how to tint a canopy with rite dye and after 3 try and
3 canopy , I thought I would try something else, I got some plastic car paint that was a candy top coat and it works great. Just another way to tint a canopy.  What I used was Patra  R/C car Racing finish Candy Yellow RC 274
for polycarbonate car bodies. My guess is that some canopys are made from diffrent type of plastic.  j1

although plastic car paint will tint a canopy and I am not saying it will happen but from my experience, over a period of time it can start to peel away from the plastic..  and that really looks bad.
Thank you and God Bless
