SIG Twister
« on: November 09, 2008, 01:17:29 AM »
My son took some video of my SIG Twister, I was just testing out a new uniflow tank I'd made and was just chucking the model around a bit. The old Fox.36 doesn't needle too well with the std. NVA, I'll change it for an OS or Super Tigre NVA this week. The tank worked fine. Here's a link to the Youtube footage. I love this hobby!!!

Looks like that Fox did a fine job hauling your Twister. Looks like you had a good day for flying, with lots of cloud cover. And by looking at your shirt and shorts, it must be a little warmer in your part of the world.

Dang! I hate cold weather! HB~>

The plane looked good to me in the video.   Wanted to get out to the field the last couple of weeks, but,  it is freezing or blowing.  Guess I will have to pull combat plane off the hook.  Have fun, DOC Holliday

Yes, the Fox.36 works very well on the SIG Twister, which is a great stunt trainer. Although I'm in my 60's, only first tried my hand at stunt a couple of years ago, when I came back to control line flying.
I'm putting an Akromaster together for my son to fly, he's starting C/L aged 25 Y.O.

Seemed to me like the NV setting problem might have been your hand blocking the uniflow vent from the prop blast. Hooking it to a remote vent on the other side of the fuselage (so it's away from the NV area) might be a possible cure. That aside, a ST or Randy Aero NV assy. will always be a big improvement. I'm not a fan of OS NV's, or anything with a clicker spring, actually.  :-\ Steve

I will take the heat over the cold any day.

Keep us frozen folks posted with warm sunny photos. LL~
