crash pics and description forum
« on: July 04, 2007, 04:23:14 PM »
Don't know bout everybody else, but I get a kick out of crash pics (action is best, but whats left is always good too).  I know we put a lot of time in our models, but I personally think when I crash its kinda funny.  I only fly 1/2A now but have crashed em all when I was younger.  Heres a recent crash pic of mine.

SHHHHHHHH!  I don't want my wife to know that.  I'm itching for a new plane and this is the best reason to get one

That picture, above, of Bob Brookins' plane a split second after impact is one of the best model airplane pictures I have ever seen.  I hated to see the demise of the plane, but the picture is one of a kind, and a unique view I had never seen before!  Was it Elwyn who took that picture?

I couldn't make it to VSC this year. David Russum got the great photo of Bob Brookins' Humongous making a death dive into the asphalt.

No matter how long we've had the plane, no matter how much it cost, nor how many times it has been repaired, we ALWAYS feel a loss. Perhaps it's the effort, the time spent, the memory links with friends, or perhaps feelings just remind us which side of the ground WE are on. ;)

So much violence on TV--now, here it is on my favorite web site!! ~^

All models have an expiration date; just not visable from the outside.  I know this is true, because I have found it on some of mine when the internals have been exposed after a sudden stop.  Not funny, but a part of flying models.
