I'm going to try for some flight time this week.

Sig Mustang (all plastic pieces omitted)
Scott Smith triple cored foam wings
Brodak dope color and Randolph clear finish
Brodak 40
40.4 oz

Very, very nice. Good weight - I never did that well with the Sig Mustang.

You did not put that vent tube on the outboard side again did you? Certainly a gorgeous airplane.

Yes I did. But in defense, I actually did this one before the Chipmunk. Since it didn't seem to cause a problem on that plane, I decided to tempt fate again and just leave it there.

BTW, I was waiting for someone to point that out. I figured it going to be Randy P. but John beat him to it!

That Mustang looks Mucho better than either of mine did. Does it matter where the uni-flo vent is as long as it works. My flying partner put his inside the fuse right behind the engine. He noticed fluctuations as the plane went around the circle. I usually put a smaller tube on the vent to cure my fluctuations. Hope that Mustang flies as well as it looks. Have fun, DOC Holliday

Thanks Tom. I tried to get a flight tonight at the local school. But it was almost dark by the time the footballers left and then the Brodak 40 didn't want to cooperate, so no go. At home I found crap in the nva.

Clint, that 'stang looks like a bazillion man!!! And at that weight it should be killer. Mine was 46 oz when it was first finished, pretty porky for that little wing, but it still flew fairly well. I've always wanted to build another one lighter because of the way the first one flew.

Thanks Bob! One of the best parts about showing off a new plane is having one of the "greats" of the stunt world (like you) giving the nod of approval. Last weekend at a local contest, Phil Granderson spent a couple of minuets going over it. Weather or not truly liked it, I'll never know. But it sure felt good having him eyeball it! It just makes you want to do even better on the next one.

You know there is nothing more gratifying then having your peers, especially the great ones, ogling your airplane.
