Useful Trophies, Bob Gieseke Memorial/DASH Contest, musings....

Re the "Trophies" question concerning awards at contests, DMAA recently used an idea put forward by Bill Bischoff, and it went over well. ALL contestants, and helpers, received a trophy, a quality T-shirt with the DMAA logo on it and properly denoting the "Bob Gieseke Memorial Championship". Those who placed in an event, First, Second, Third received a simple red, white or blue ribbon to recognize their achievement.

Hopefully, an attachment will show this logo...close inspection will reveal that the usual aircraft in our logo has been replaced by an easily recognizable Stunt ship, also Bill Bischoff's idea.


That little airplane is featured in other recent threads thanks to the many others who cherished Bob's friendship, and Sparkie's Forum.

The contest was great the winds were a little heavy on Sunday but such as life in the contest circle.

I was threatened with bodily harm if I brought home another trophy.  The shirt survived!  It was a really fun contest.  Sort of windy but aside from a couple dinged props and an attack from a local bird, no one purchased a farm.  If any of you are PETA members, we think the bird survived.
