fuel shipments from Sig
« on: May 12, 2010, 01:36:24 PM »
I've been waiting for some fuel ordered from Sig to arrive at the hobby shop. E-mailed Sig today to see what's up, and they said that they have started shipping fuel out this week. Nice to get a quick e-mail response from Sig.

Contact Mark Smith at Excalibur Fuels, Avondale, AZ.  He ships....and promptly....any blend you need:  e-mail rainydaysmith(at)cox(dot)net or phone 602-478-3436.

No, I don't work for Excalibur, but I use his fuel...and it's excellent.

I recently placed a large order for UHP with Sig. I spoke
with them last week and was told that they had been
awaiting bottles from the supplier. He said they were
expecting them anyday and would be filling orders as
soon as possible.

Steve...Same here We were told the same thing back in April. I'm sure thing will work themselves out. I have no ill feelings. Things happen....JUST TELL the TRUTH and give a timeline.

MARK....I have fuel here PM 10x18. We'll have you covered.
Also we (DON) are experimenting with OMGA 10x18 w 4oz castor added per gallon...Good results so far. Works great in the Aero Tiger 36.
Engine likes the power through the corner, but with OMGA the power curve is more controlled and you are less likely to hop after a sharp corner. More testing to come with the LA-46.

So I guess we'll see when the cases of fuel arrive at the hobby shop.

I probably have to grab a gallon of Omega 10/18 to tide me over. I like to add 8oz castor to get over 22% oil.

Hey guys,
.
Let us know if Sig actually starts shipping fuel again.  I need to order a case of all castor 10% nitro/25% castor.  Anybody ordered a single case lately.  What kind of expense is the shipping and handling?  I might call Fox also.....would like to get two gallons Super Fuel and two gallons of Duke's in that case.  Will Fox sell mixed cases?.........Ah, so many questions.........TDurrill   #^

Last time I ordered a couple of cases, they charged me $8.95 flat rate shipping and the $20 haxmat fee, per case.

The break point for truck shipping was 4 cases.  4 cases cost about the same by truck or UPS.  But the truck shipping price stayed the same from 4 to 13 cases.

I ordered 32 gallons (a variety of blends) last week, but was told only 10/25 all Castor was available. If that's the blend you need, you may want to give them a call. EWP

If you want Fox fuel, the better deal is a case of quarts. No Hazmat charges.

Have you checked the price of the quarts?   To me it is cheaper to get the case of gallon jugs. H^^

I forgot to update you guys. The fuel came in around the end of May. Got all busy getting things together for Brodak's.
Used some yesterday at the Speed Limit Combat contest at Salmon River State Park in Colchester, CT.
