If you build it light and straight plus power decent power package it will fly better than I can fly.  Keep us posted.

I misread your question at first and thought of the Sig Akromaster.    John, however, probably was thinking of the Akrobat when he posted his reply.   

I have no experience with the Akrobat but I did find this thread on Stunt Hanger using the search feature: https://stunthanger.com/smf/open-forum/sig-zlin-akrobat-kit/msg5412/#msg5412

There were plenty of other cross-references in the search.  One said that the Akrobat had the exact same wing as the Sig Super Chipmunk.

The only draw back to the kit is the plastic cowl.   I didn't know better at the time and I ruined a McCoy 40 Redhead when it went lean and I was flyover pavement and could not set it down like I would have over grass.  The McCoy read head turned into a black head and no compression.

A Sig Akrobat just won Intermediate at the 2021 NATs.  Pretty good testament for its suitability for Intermediate or Advanced class.

I used one to win a few intermediate contests back around 2000 or so.  My kit had horrendous wood, so it really taught me how to scratch build and from there I generally didn't build kits anymore.  I replaced the plastic cowl with a balsa top block and conventional nobler style cowl.

The aerodynamics are from the CL-3 Chipmunk kit, so it can fly pretty good.

It is certainly pattern worthy and probably competitive even into advanced.  Back in the day, mine flew great with a Fox 35.  Should be even better with modern power.
